Head of Corporate Development (f/m/x)

The Corporate Development team is responsible for the development and implementation of RBI Group’s strategic ambition. The main team focus lies on implementation of internal M&A projects and investments, divestments and corporate reorganization on behalf of the Group, this includes a wide area of tasks within the bank, aimed at the implementation of strategic initiatives, corporate development projects including transaction implementation and integration into RBI Group;

What you can expect:
  • Leadership and overall responsibility for projects of strategic importance as approved by the management of RBI Group
  • Supporting the CEO, management board and senior management in decision making process
  • Leading a small team of highly skilled experts
  • Review and analysis of markets of RBI Group operation and screening for potential M&A targets as well as generation of a pipeline of potential acquisition projects
  • Initiation, market screening, and assessment of divestment projects as well as any other corporate development, restructuring, reorganization projects
  • Project lead, set up, preparation, and execution of M&A projects, restructuring and PMI
  • Frequent interaction with RBI Group Management, as well as other management members within the Group as well as colleagues in departments such as Finance and Legal
  • Managing relationships with advisory firms, legal advisors, investment banks and representatives of supervising authorities
  • Budget responsibility of the department including its direct costs, in addition to project cost centers

What you bring to the table:
  • Typically advanced degree in finance, business administration, law or related areas
  • 10years+ experience in M&A, preferably in the financial sector; management experience being an advantage
  • Profound knowledge about the business fields and markets RBI Group is active in, including macro-economic and political developments
  • A high degree of independent decision making within the scope of the projects is required
  • Ability to lead larger projects and to select and structure a team fulfilling the project tasks
  • High analytical skills and unbiased approach to tasks
  • Ability to professionally interact with top management of the group to support their work
  • Ability to realize and analyze the side effects of measures and activities within the business activities including legal and supervisory effects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills in a multi-cultural and very senior environment
  • Excellent English language skills are essential, any other languages are a plus
