Your Responsibilities

The Graduate School Office (GSO) is a core administrative unit of ISTA that deals with the organization of PhD student life at ISTA. It promotes excellence in graduate education and is responsible for student admissions and PhD program administration. During your internship, you will become familiar with the administrative processes of graduate education and will be able to provide a meaningful contribution. You will be supporting the GSO team of 14 people with various operational tasks:

• Support student marketing and recruiting operations (i.e., update postings on online advertising platforms, collect data about recruitment events in target institutions, maintain contact databases)
• Assistance with daily running, development and enhancements of program operations (i.e., documenting processes, maintaining records, updating presentations, setting up feedback surveys)
• Support with online and in-person event organization (i.e., graduation ceremony, poster sessions, welcome sessions)
• Managing external and internal program inquiries
• Website editing and proofreading
• Help with routine office tasks

Your Profile

• Ongoing Bachelor's degree (second year completed) or higher ongoing degree
• Previous work in an office environment is of advantage
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is of advantage
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva and the Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop) is of advantage
• Knowledge of WordPress is of advantage
• Very good written and verbal command of English (working language)
• Strong attention to detail and process-orientation
• Excited to proactively support our team and eager to learn (please outline your motivation in your cover letter)
