Internal Audit is an independent function established by the Management Board to support the Bank in achieving its strategic objectives. As part of this mission, we ensure transparency, integrity, and effective risk management across all business processes and IT landscapes.
The Unit Credit, Operational and Governance Risks Audit (8775) is part of the Internal Audit Department.
The unit performs audit engagements with regards to Credit, Operational and Governance Risks in the Bank and its subsidiaries.
What you'll be doing
- You will perform Audit engagements in UCBA Group by auditing processes, methods and the Internal Control System (ICS) with focus on Credit Risk
- You will evaluate risks arising from control deficiencies, irregularities or non-compliance with external and internal control framework
- You will prepare and align Internal Audit reports including recommendations and corrective measures
- You will be a contact point for the close cooperation with our Holding company peers
- You will use Data Analytics techniques and support our ongoing digitalization and simplification activities
- You will support communication to regulators with respect to inspections and the related regulatory findings.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a professional who wants to perform interesting and challenging audit engagements on Credit Risk. Together with you, we want to further strengthen and digitalize our audit approach.
- You have a sound knowledge of Credit Risk management within the banking sector. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the full credit lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, monitoring, and portfolio management, combined with a solid understanding of regulatory expectations and internal control frameworks
- You are familiar with European Banking Authority (EBA) and CRR Guidelines
- You are skilled in R, SQL, Python or another programming language
- You have experience in data analytics techniques (e.g. process mining, machine learning, text analytics)
- You have finalized studies in Mathematics, Economics or Business OR you have relevant prior working experience
- You are interested to learn about root causes and to follow the rapidly changing regulatory environment
- You want to grow fast and take on responsibility (e.g. lead audit teams, participation in projects)
- You are a good communicator and fluent in English (incl. writing). German would be appreciated.

We tailor your actual compensation according to your experience and expertise. In line with the collective agreement and based on a 38.5-hour workweek including overtime, the minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 85.000,-.
