Ignato Project Leader – European Social Innovation Portfolio (f/m/d) - Vienna or surrounding area
Caritas der Erzdiözese WienAvailable for full-time (37 hours/week) or part-time (24–32 hours/week) from October/November
Launched in 2025, Ignato is a pioneering agency for social innovation. Founded through a strategic alliance between various Caritas organizations in Europe, our mission is simple: to stop reinventing the wheel and start scaling proven solutions across Europe. We empower Caritas organizations to identify, adapt, and transfer successful models. By replicating what works, we ensure that people in need receive better help, faster. To drive our growing portfolio of cross-border projects, we are seeking a pragmatic, impact-driven Project Leader to join our mission.
As a Project Leader, you will be at the absolute forefront of executing ignato’s core 4-stage innovation transfer process across Europe. You will not just manage timelines; you will actively implement a diverse portfolio of social innovation projects, bridging the gap between social entrepreneurs, large welfare organizations, and local communities.
Deine Aufgaben:
Your Responsibilities
- Project Implementation & Management: Lead and execute a portfolio of social innovation projects from initiation to completion across Europe. Ensure deliverables are high-quality, on time, and within scope.
- The 4-Stage Innovation Lifecycle: Systematically apply ignato’s core adoption methodology: conducting in-depth needs assessments, scouting for innovative solutions, providing active implementation support, and planning for scaling.
- Program Design: Contribute to the design, setup, and management of social impact incubators, accelerators, or co-creation programs that empower social innovators and scale impactful solutions across the European network.
- Stakeholder & Network Coordination: Manage complex, multi-stakeholder and multicultural project settings. Act as the primary bridge between social entrepreneurs, corporate and philanthropic partners, and large NGO service providers (such as Caritas).
- MEL & Impact Tracking: Implement Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks, and continuously improve our transfer methodology.
- Presentation, Moderation & Knowledge Sharing: Host workshops and present in front of diverse stakeholders, fostering knowledge exchange across the network.

- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of professional working experience in the field of social innovation or other relevant fields within the public, private, or non-profit sectors.
- Methodological Expertise: Strong know-how in innovation methods and background in project management. Experience in research, consulting, or MEL is highly preferable.
- Program Expertise: Proven experience in setting up and managing social impact incubators, accelerators, or co-creation programs within the social sector is considered a strong asset.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently navigate multi-stakeholder environments.
- Mindset: A hands-on implementer with a highly pragmatic, solution-oriented spirit.
- Languages: Fluency in German and English is required. Professional proficiency in an additional language vital to ignato's expansion (such as Romanian, Polish, Italian, French, Spanish or Portuguese) is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Europe for projects and partner meetings.
