To support our IFRS reporting team we are looking for a Senior IFRS Methodology Specialistin preferably with background in Big 4 audit firm or similar in financial institution
Financial Accounting is responsible for ongoing bookkeeping up to the preparation of financial statements for UniCredit Bank Austria AG in accordance with IFRS and UGB.
Furthermore, the unit prepares the IFRS consolidated financial statements and disclosures of the Bank Austria Group. Ensuring the correct application of accounting policies as well as participation in projects completes the department’s scope of work.
What you'll be doing
As Senior IFRS methodologistin you will bring a minimum of 5 years of accounting expertise and practical experience gained either within a Big 4 audit firm or similar department in financial institution
This role requires deep expertise in IFRS accounting within financial services and the ability to translate technical accounting requirements into practical guidance for stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Business functions.
Your key responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for IFRS accounting and financial reporting topics.
- Prepare accounting position papers, technical memos, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide expert accounting support for complex transactions, new products, restructurings, as well as regulatory developments.
- Coordinate and review half yearly preparation of published IFRS Financial statements, Notes and Management report
What you'll need to succeed
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, Wirtschaftsprüfer, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in IFRS accounting, financial reporting, IFRS audit or advisory within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge and experience of IFRS standards (IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IFRS 13, IAS 32, IFRS 10, IAS 1) and their application in the banking industry.
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Fluent in English and German required

We will agree on what you can actually earn with us in the interview! At least EUR 66.600,-- gross according to the collective agreement for 38.5 hours per week.
