Our client is an established company working on the development of a modern, AI-powered platform for conversational applications. The focus is on scalable backend systems, production-ready engineering, and the highest quality standards in a demanding, regulated environment. To further expand the team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Engineer to actively contribute to innovative AI solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Development and further enhancement of backend web services for an AI-based conversational system
• Design and implementation of REST APIs (e.g., using FastAPI)
• Creation of OpenAPI-based service designs as well as implementation of schema and data validation
• Implementation of automated tests with pytest and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Collaboration via Git/GitHub, including code reviews
• Ensuring high software quality and modern engineering standards
• Contributing to LLM-based applications (e.g., agent frameworks, prompt engineering)
• Evaluation and optimization of model output quality
• Implementation of observability practices (logging, tracing, metrics)
• Working in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes
• Applying clean architecture and dependency injection

Your Profile:

• Several years of experience as a Senior Python Backend Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Python (3.12+), including typing and asynchronous programming
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as FastAPI
• Knowledge of schema validation, e.g., with Pydantic
• Hands-on experience in testing (pytest) and with CI/CD processes
• Confident handling of Git/GitHub workflows and code reviews
• Good understanding of software architecture and scalable systems
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge in the area of observability (logging, tracing, monitoring)
• Experience with LLM applications, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks is a plus
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments is a plus
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
