Our Center for Applied Nursing Research in the Department of Applied Nursing Science excels through its successful and high-quality research aimed at promoting and ensuring the quality of health and nursing care. Our research team collaborates with significant institutions in the nursing and healthcare field as well as with companies that contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions. We are seeking a dedicated individual to further develop our research activities.

Senior Researcher – Center for Applied Nursing Research

Your Responsibilities

  • Initiation and development of international and national leading-edge research funding applications (EU-Horizon/ERC, FFG "Leitprojekte", Josef Ressel Center, FWF, etc.).
  • Leadership, coordination, and active participation in ongoing research projects.
  • Networking, initiation of corporate collaborations, and conducting contract research.
  • Writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Planning and initiation of third-mission activities.
  • Supporting the research center’s management in external representation and internal reporting within the university.
  • Teaching duties around 4 hours per week.

Your Profile

  • Completed higher education (PhD preferred) preferably in Nursing Science, Health Science or Public Health
  • Completed training in health and nursing care with at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Extensive experience in securing third-party funding and in developing successful research proposals, as well as in managing and coordinating externally funded research projects.
  • Proven multiple first and co-authorships in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • High resilience (especially when submitting project proposals), teamwork skills, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • German language skills C1

General Conditions

  • Place of employment is at the location Vienna 10 - “Altes Landgut”
  • Permanent employment with 39 hours per week and the opportunity to start a career as an Associate FH Professor (duration 3-4 years)
  • The salary is based on the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna salary system and depends on relevant professional experience. The minimum salary, with at least 5 years of appropriate professional experience, is EUR 4.252 gross per month (full-time basis, 39 hours per week). The actual salary, based on your previous experience and creditable prior service, will be discussed in a personal interview.
  • Start of employment: immediately
